YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Mars Hill baseball team (11-16, 5-6 SAC) fell to Young Harris (19-7) by a score of 12-6 on Tuesday evening.
The Lions opened the scoring with a solo home run in the top of the first inning by Ruben Trillo to right field and would tack on three more over the next two innings with RBI's coming from Chapel Matson, Tyler Lala, and Jordan Lathe.
Young Harris was able to pull off a pair of three-run innings and a four-run inning to ultimately bring the game out of reach. Noah Fitzgerald and Rome Wallace each homered during the game.
Connor Presnell entered the game in relief for the Lions, allowing three runs, and was given the loss. Young Harris reliever, Brody Meeks, threw 2.1 hitless innings and was awarded the win.
The Lions are back in action at home on Friday, when they play hosts to Anderson. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at Don Henderson Field.
