Football to open Spring Drills on Tuesday

MARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill opens Spring Practice 2011 on Tuesday with high expectations. The Lions return 15 projected starters, with six on offense and defense and three on special teams.

Beginning on Tuesday, Mars Hill will hold 14 practices leading to the Spring Game, scheduled for Friday, April 15, inside the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium at 7 p.m. ET.

The Lions begin work in full pads on Friday with full contact drills set to start on Saturday.

Mars Hill will also hold two scrimmages on Saturday, April 2, and Saturday, April 9. Each scrimmage will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET.
