Randolph named Powerratedsports.com PoY

MARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill tailback Jonas Randolph was named the 2011 Powerratedsports.com All-Bilo Division II Running Back of the Year, it was announced today. The award is given yearly to the running back that scores the highest average score based on five different statisitcal categories in the run game.

A total of 26 running backs from 160 schools were considered for the award.

Randolph, a senior, carried the ball 328 times for 1,970 yards and 17 touchdowns during the regular season. He averaged 6.01 yards per carry, and averaged 197 yards per game rushing alone.

Mars Hill finished 8-2 on the season and earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs, which start this weekend.
