Football’s Richt voted SAC Offensive Player of Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. - After playing key roles in victories that helped their teams remain unbeaten in the SAC on Saturday, Mars Hill quarterback Jon Richt and Lenoir-Rhyne defensive back Michael Green have been named the league's football Players of the Week.

Richt receives the offensive award, while Green's performance earns him both defensive and special teams honors.

In a key conference win over Wingate that vaulted Mars Hill into the AFCA National Rankings for the first time this season, Richt completed 28-of-38 passes for 339 yards and four touchdowns. His performance set new Mars Hill single-game records for completions (28) and total offense (380 yards: 339 passing, 41 rushing). Richt also tied the school's career passing touchdown mark (39).
