MARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill is ranked No. 24 in the country in the latest D2Football.com Top 25 Poll, which was released today. The Lions' last stint in the rankings was October 19, 2010.
North Alabama tops this week's D2Football.com poll.
Mars Hill (5-1, 3-0 SAC) is also ranked 25th in the nation in the week six edition of the AFCA Division II Coaches' Top 25, which was announced Monday. The Lions entered the AFCA Top 25 for the first time since September 25, 2007.
Mars Hill defeated defending South Atlantic Conference champion Wingate, 42-35, last Saturday. Mars Hill is 5-0 against Division II competition this season and travels to Catawba on Saturday for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
