Lions Receiving Votes in Top 25 Poll

WACO, Tex.-- The Mars Hill football team is receiving votes in the preseason American Football Coaches Association Division II poll, which was released Monday.

Mars Hill received 57 votes, which unofficially places the Lions 33rd in the nation. The Lions are coming off an 8-3 season in which they reached the NCAA Division II Championship for the first time in school history. Mars Hill opens its season on Aug. 30 at Western Carolina.

The Lions will face one team ranked in the preseason Top 25 when they visit 23rd-ranked North Greenville on Sept. 22.
