Allison Named Preseason All-American

MARS HILL, N.C.—Mars Hill offensive lineman Nick Allison has been named to the D2Football.com Preseason All-American Team, which was released Monday.

Allison earned First-Team Preseason All-American recognition. The left guard earned All-Region honors last season from Daktronics and Don Hansen's Weekly Football Gazette. Mars Hill is coming off a season in which the Lions went 6-4 overall and 5-2 in South Atlantic Conference play, good enough for second in the league. MHU will open the season this Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff against West Georgia in Meares Stadium.

Allison was part of an offensive line that produced 158 yards rushing per game last season. He is a two-time All-SAC performer, earning First-Team honors last season. Allison was named Preseason First-Team All-SAC prior to this season as well.
