MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team lost 83-77 to Crossfire in an exhibition game Saturday night in Stanford Arena.

Mars Hill was led by Patrick Monroe's 25 points, followed by Justin Yeargin with 15 and Michael Carson with 12. Isaiah Cuthbertson and Thomas Anderson pulled down seven rebounds each, with Brandon McCarter and Monroe grabbing five rebounds. Anderson had four steals to lead the Lions.

Jonathan Whitson led Crossfire with 23 points, followed by Jerome Ramsey and Dave Evans with 20 points. Evans led Crossfire with 10 rebounds.

Mars Hill will compete in the OrthoCarolina Tip-off Challenge hosted by Wingate University next weekend. The Lions play Belmont Abbey on Friday at 5 p.m. and Limestone on Saturday at 5 p.m.
