Lions downed by No. 18 LMU
The Mars Hill men's basketball team (4-1, 2-1 SAC) was defeated by No. 18 Lincoln Memorial (3-1, 1-0 SAC) by a score of 95-72 Tuesday night.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team (4-1, 2-1 SAC) was defeated by No. 18 Lincoln Memorial (3-1, 1-0 SAC) by a score of 95-72 Tuesday night.
The Railsplitters shot 66 percent from the floor in the first half, netting 50 points. Wes Enis led the way with 12, going 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. The trio of Kory Davis, Marvin Hires, and Kadyn Dawkins each scored seven for the Lions as they too shot well from the floor, hitting 52 percent of their shots and going 5-of-10 from three. Dinari Boykin led the Lions with nine points off the bench.
LMU added an additional 45 points in the second, shooting just under 46 percent. Enis added another 11 points to lead the team. The Railsplitters outrebounded Mars Hill in the half 24-20 with Elyjah Freeman and Jordan Walters leading the team with six apiece.
Davis led the Lions with seven points while Chase McWhite andded seven points off the bench and a team-high six rebounds in 14 second half minutes.
Enis led all players with 23 points while Walters ended the night with the double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Mars Hill returns to action on Saturday, November 30 at 4 p.m. when they take on Tusculum on the road.
