Men’s Golf in 18th at Tusculum Invite

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - Will Ferrell fired a 77 to lead Mars Hill after the first day of the 18th annual Tusculum Invitational, held this weekend at Link Hills Country Club. The Lions fired a score of 324, ranking the team in 18th place.

Chase Lippard's 80 was good for second on the team. Seth Sayler is third on the team after firing an 81. Lucas Kruk, with an 86, and Logan Delp, with a 91, round out the top five on Mars Hill's team.

Tusculum College fired an opening round 291 and leads all teams. Josh Hinson of USC Lancaster Community College is in first after posting a 69.

The final round will tee off just before 8 a.m. Sunday morning at the par 71, 6,763-yard layout. The 20-team, 108-player tournament field is the largest in the 18-year history of the event.
