Lions Place Fifth at Cherokee Valley Invitational

TIGERVILLE, S.C.-- The Mars Hill men's golf team placed fifth in the Cherokee Valley Invitational hosted by North Greenville University.

Lions collected a score of 649 (+73) in the two round, nine-team tournament. Chase Dembisky carded the Lions' best score of the tournament, shooting seven-over. Dembisky finished tied for third overall. North Greenville took home the team championship with a score of 612 (+36). Danny Dippel of North Greenville was the individual champion, shooting two-over par.

Nick Caruso finished tied for 16th with a score of 162 (18+). Rounding out the Lions performers were Tyler Grooms, Lucas Harper and Ken Dixon.

Mars Hill will compete in the Roanoke College Invitational, which begins Apr. 5 at Roanoke Country Club in Roanoke, Va.
