Lions in Fourth After Opening Round of Tusculum Fall Classic

GREENEVILLE, TENN.- Junior Nick Caruso fired a career-best even-par 71 to pace the Mars Hill men's golf team in the first round of the Tusculum Fall Classic on Monday at Link Hills Golf Club in Greeneville, Tenn.
Caruso and classmate Charles Hartzog sit in a six player tie for 11th place after their opening round 71s. Antonio Douat sits in 17th after a one-over-par 72. Freshman Nick Quesnel shot a three-over-par 74 to finish the opening round in a tie for 27th. Competing as individuals, Ken Dixon shot an 81 with Dalton Thompson firing an 84. As a team, the Lions sit in fourth place, nine shots behind a first place tie between Tusculum and Lincoln Memorial.
Tusculum's Nick Forsberg leads with a four-under-par 67. Second round action is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning.
