MONROE, N.C.- The Mars Hill men's golf team is tied for third place following the first two rounds of the J. Ralph Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate hosted by Wingate University at Monroe CC.
Filip Andersson is tied for sixth after a 36-hole score of 145. Andersson led the Lions with a 72 in the second round. Chevy Hartzog fired a 72 to lead the Lions in the opening round and is tied for 16th after a 148. Adam Lumley is also tied for 16th after shooting a 74 in both rounds. Levi Grogan shot a 73 in the second round and is tied for 32nd. Ken Dixon is tied for 73rd. Mars Hill has a team score of 593, three shots behind second place Brevard and four behind first place Wingate.
King University's Leennawat Numpituckc leads by one shot over Brevard's Luis Viega with a 141.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with the Lions beginning the final round at 9:15 a.m.
