Men's Golf to Open Season at Kiawah Island

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Lions Men's golf team open the spring portion of their season at the famed Ocean Course in Kiawah Island SC Monday February 22.

The Lions will again be led by all conference performers Chevy Hartzog and Adam Lumley along with 2015 Freshman of the Year in the South Atlantic Filip Anderson. Red shirt freshmen Alejandro Canizares and Levi Neeson round out the starting lineup.

Coach Ed Hoffmeyer commented on the upcoming opener: " We are very excited about the prospects for the spring. Even under adverse conditions, our guys have worked hard in preparation for this event. To have the opportunity to play the Ocean Course, recognized as one of the top courses in the world, and compete against 12 of the top teams in our region will help us prepare for the remainder of our schedule".

The 54 hole event will be completed on Tuesday.
