Lions struggle after 1st round at Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate

After the first round of the 2017 Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, the Mars Hill Lions men's golf team sits in 17 place.  Harry Butler, two-time medalist this season, is tied for 30 after shooting a +3 on the afternoon.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - After the first round of the 2017 Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, the Mars Hill Lions men's golf team sits in 17 place.  Harry Butler, two-time medalist this season, is tied for 30 after shooting a +3 on the afternoon.

Callum Ritchie is tied for 43 after putting together a first-round score of +5.  Nicholas Boone, Luke Challis and Stephen Thomasson round out the quintet for the Lions with individual scores of +11, +13 and +15, respectively.

Round two will begin at 8:30 a.m. and wrap up the tournament tomorrow afternoon.
