Men’s Soccer Ranked No. 19 in the Nation
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill College men's soccer team is ranked No. 19 in the country, according to the latest poll released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Lions are also ranked third in the Southeast Region by the same publication.
"Our national ranking is a tribute to the results the team have earned thus far," head coach Ian Clerihew said. "However, we are only halfway through the season. There are many more games to be played."
Mars Hill moves up six spots from last week's poll. The Lions are currently 7-0-1 overall, 2-0-1 and in first place in the South Atlantic Conference.
Mars Hill has posted a 10-1-1 record in its last 12 games dating back to last season. The Lions are unbeaten in their last eight contests, which is a school record.
Mars Hill will host Brevard on Friday. The game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
