MARS HILL, N.C.-- Mars Hill's men's soccer team fell to Coker 1-0 in a South Atlantic Conference match Saturday afternoon in Meares Stadium.
Noah Gulley scored in the 80th-minute to lift the Cobras to the victory. Chris Martin picked up the assist on the goal. Mars Hill falls to 4-6 on the season and 4-3 in conference matches. Coker improved to 3-2-2 in SAC play, 5-3-3 overall.
Mark Nankervis made five saves to earn the shutout for Coker. Chris Mitchell made two saves for MHU.
Each team had 11 shots on goal. Coker held a 3-2 advantage in corners.
Mars Hill will travel to Young Harris Tuesday, Oct. 15.
