Men’s Tennis downs Catawba, 5-4

MARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill defeated Catawba 5-4 at the Hart Tennis Center. The Lions improve to 5-6, 3-2 in the South Atlantic Conference, while the Catawba Indians fall to 13-8, 3-5 in the league.

Brad Bassinger clinched the match for Mars Hill with a 6-4, 6-4 victory in No. 6 singles' action. Lucas Simm, Enrico Patriarca, Guilherme Lima and Carlos Oyaga also won in singles' competition for the Lions.

Mars Hill hosts Brevard on Tuesday. The match begins at 3 p.m. ET.
