Mary Nelson Involved in Car Accident

MARS HILL, N.C. - Mary Nelson, a sophomore tennis player from Big Prairie, Ohio, was involved in a car accident Friday night on the Blue Ridge Parkway and she suffered significant head trauma. Doctors say she has shown some improvement but is still in a very critical condition.

She is in unit J4 at the Memorial Mission campus of Mission Hospitals. Faculty, staff and students may go to the waiting room to visit with the family, but will not necessarily get to see Mary, as visitation is still very restricted.
