Men's Tennis Falls to Newberry

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team lost 7-2 to Newberry at the Hart Tennis Complex on Saturday. Mars Hill drops to 5-12 overall and 3-7 in the South Atlantic Conference.

Sam Lee had two wins on the afternoon for the Lions, defeating Carlos Nicolopulos in a three-set tiebreaker 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 in number three singles and teaming with Euquerio Guerrero to win number one doubles 8-4 over Vinicius Botelho and David Sons.

Markus Gattner had a tough three-set loss, falling to Jeffery Kiser 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 in number six singles.

Mars Hill returns to action on Tuesday, hosting North Greenville.
