Men's Tennis Falls to LMU

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team lost 7-2 to Lincoln Memorial in the final match of the season on Friday afternoon at Hart Tennis Complex. Mars Hill completes the season at 5-14 overall and 3-8 in the South Atlantic Conference.

Euquerio Guerrero and Sam Lee earned wins for the Lions, as Guerrero was the winner in number one singles over Odhran O'Sullivan-Hamill 6-3, 6-1. Lee defeated Guilherme Rocha 6-2, 6-2 in the third singles flight.

Mars Hill lost two singles matches in tiebreakers as Marcelo Alvim topped Alberto Ortiz 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in number two singles. Joel Sturgis dropped a 3-6, 6-1, 10-6 decision to Gabriel Martins in number five singles.

Lincoln Memorial swept doubles play, including a 9-7 win for Alvim and Martins over Sturgis and Markus Gattner in the second doubles flight.
