Lions fall short to Salem International in non-conference play
The Mars Hill men's tennis team (6-7) fell to visiting Salem International (3-2) at the Hart Tennis Complex on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference play by a score of 4-3.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (6-7) fell to visiting Salem International (3-2) at the Hart Tennis Complex on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference play by a score of 4-3.
The Tigers entered singles play up 1-0 after sweeping all three doubles matches. The Lions took the first three singles matches as Ben Reid, Rodrigo Ramos and Fernando Neto came away with straight set wins.
Salem International rallied in the final three matches to come away with the 4-3 win.
Mars Hill hosts Lenoir-Rhyne in South Atlantic Conference action on Thursday, March 7th at the Hart Tennis Complex. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
