Mars Hill dropped by Belmont Abbey in non-conference action
The Mars Hill men's tennis team (2-6) was defeated by Belmont Abbey (2-4) by a score of 6-1 Saturday afternoon in non-conference play.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (2-6) was defeated by Belmont Abbey (2-4) by a score of 6-1 Saturday afternoon in non-conference play.
The Crusaders entered singles competition up 1-0, sweeping all three doubles' matches. They continued their success by winning five of the six singles' matches with the lone blemish coming from the play of Tom Farman. Farman defeated Kevin Yarzagaray in three sets, taking the final two by marks of 7-6 and 10-5.
Mars Hill returns to South Atlantic Conference play on Thursday, February 20 when they host the Bulldogs of Wingate. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
