Vines Excels in Prelims at Niswonger Invitational

JOHNSON CITY, TENN.-- Mars Hill's Deandre Vines turned in a strong performance in the preliminaries of the Niswonger Invitational, held on the David E. Walker Track.

Vines placed second among Division II runners in the preliminaries of the 200 Meter Dash. His time of 22.61 was good enough for 19th overall. Vines will compete in the finals of the 200 Meter Dash tomorrow in day two of the Invitational.

The Niswonger Invitational concludes tomorrow. Over 800 student-athletes representing 60 collegiate teams are competing in the meet, including representatives from all NCAA Divisions as well as NAIA.
