Men's Track Finishes Seventh At SAC Championships

HICKORY, N.C. – The Mars Hill men's track team concluded the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Championships in seventh place on Saturday, April 16. Several runners were able to beat their day one times and capture good finishes for the Blue and Gold.

Nathan Jones finished in second place in the 10,000 meter race with a time of 31:34.39 while Justin Gragg and Cesar Reyes also captured second place finishes in the 5,000 meter and 3000 meter steeplechase, respectively.

Brandon Beard bested his preliminary time of 4:06.49 by almost four seconds (4:02.55) in the 1500 to collect a fourth place finish. Jeremy Hughes ran a 10.98 in the 100 meter, good for sixth place overall.
