Lions Conclude Day One of ETSU Invitational

JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – The Mars Hill track teams competed in the first day of the East Tennessee State University Invitational on Friday afternoon. In a small number of events both teams were able to turn in solid performances.
On the women's side Shahnika Williams completed a long jump of 18'4", setting a new school record, while also ranking top-30 in the nation. Chrsitine Foresha and Jordan Bair were both able to eclipse new personal-bests on the day. Foresha ran a stellar time of 27.54 in the 200m, while Bair cleared 10' in the pole vault event.
Kenan Foxx was able to pace the men's team with a personal-best in the weight throw, marking the throw at 42' 10 ½". The two teams will conclude the meet tomorrow afternoon.
