Lions partake in Queens University Combined Events

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Corey Whaley of the Mars Hill men's indoor track and field team placed 13th overall, in conference, in the heptathlon at the Queens University Combined Events, held at JDL FastTrack on Wednesday afternoon.

Whaley, in the 60 meter dash, turned in a time of 7.79 while in 60 meter hurdles, recorded a time of 9.37.  In the long jump, he recorded a mark of 5.99 meters and in the shot put, threw a distance of 8.24 meters.
