Lions finish ninth at SAC Championships

The Mars Hill men's indoor track and field team placed ninth at the conclusion of the South Atlantic Conference Championships held on Sunday.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's indoor track and field team placed ninth at the conclusion of the South Atlantic Conference Championships held on Sunday.

Mars Hill ended the two day event with a total of 11 points.

Earning six points for the Lions, Noah Allison placed third overall in the 3000 meter race, turning in a time of 8:40.87.

Tyrize Claud earned three points for Mars Hill with his sixth place finish in the 60 meter hurdles.  He turned in a time of 8.67.

The team of David Elkins, Kevshon Hobson, Rodney Dejournett and Joshua Vereen placed 10th in the 4x400 meter relay.

In the triple jump, Bryan Smith placed 12th overall with a distance of 12.60 meters.
