Lions place 11th at SAC Championships

The Mars Hill men's track team placed 11th at the conclusion of the South Atlantic Conference Championships held on Saturday.

HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's track team placed 11th at the conclusion of the South Atlantic Conference Championships held on Saturday.

Running in the 110 meter hurdles, Tyrize Claud placed seventh to earn two points for the Lions.  He ran a time of 15.88.  Joshua Vereen, in the 400 meter hurdles, finished seventh with a time of 57.72 to earn another two points for Mars Hill.

In the shot put, Tyler Holloway recorded a distance of 13.61 meters for an eighth place finish.  Holloway earned the final point for the Lions on the day.

The Lions earned five points over the two-day event for the 11th place finish.
