Cross Country Results at Winthrop Invitational

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Mars Hill College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Asics/Winthrop Cross Country Invitational.

The men's team won the 8k race and posted the top three finishers. Justin Gragg (Lenoir, N.C.) led the Lions. He posted a time of 25:49.58. Trey McCain (Leesville, S.C.) finished second with a time of 26:09.09. Kit Powell was third with a time of 26:09.68.

On the women's side, Cassie Adamson (Commerce Township, Mich.) was the top finisher in the 5k for Mars Hill and placed fifth overall in a time of 20:12.17. Next in line for the Lions was Heidi Hooker (Lawsonville, N.C.), who finished 10th overall in 21:25.51.

Mars Hill will compete in the Greensboro Open on Saturday.
