Powell named SAC Men’s Runner of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill's Kit Powell has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Powell, a junior from Antigo, Wisc., was the top Division II performer at the Men's USC Upstate Eye Opener with a time of 27:00. He finished 23rd overall in the 8K event. His strong showing helped Mars Hill finish eighth as a team.

Anderson's Whitney Bishoff was named the SAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
