Griggs Named AstroTurf SAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Alex Griggs was named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the third time this season, conference officials announced today.

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Alex Griggs was named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the third time this season, conference officials announced today. Griggs has claimed the weekly award eight times in his career.

Griggs finished sixth among non-Division I runners at the Royals XC Challenge on Saturday with a new personal best 24:55.4 in the 8k. He was the top finishing SAC runner and second among Southeast Region runners.

The Lions will compete in the Falcon Classic in Montevallo, Ala. on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Eastern/8 a.m. Central.
