Lions finish fourth in lead up to SAC Championships
The Mars Hill Lions turned in an impressive fourth place finish at the Queen City Invitational Friday afternoon. Noah Allison was the top runner for the team, finishing the 8K in 25:10.00, a new personal record.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill Lions turned in an impressive fourth place finish at the Queen City Invitational Friday afternoon. Noah Allison was the top runner for the team, finishing the 8K in 25:10.00, a new personal record.
Allison finished 14th overall while teammate, Garrett Farrimond, finished 16th overall.
Of the 13 runners the Lions put on the course, seven recorded new personal records, including Farrimond, Cameron Lackey, Matthew Rogers, Brad and Bryan Barbee and Chris Gomez.
"Definitely the best race of the season for the men," head coach Mike Owens said after the meet.

The Lions will look to ride the momentum and look to repeat as SAC champions when they head to Newton, North Carolina on Saturday, October 21. The meet is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
