Lions finish ninth at Covered Bridge meet

BOONE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's cross country team finished ninth in their first race of the 2018 season Friday evening at the Covered Bridge cross country meet.

Nick Resor was the top Lions' runner, posting a time of 28:31.98 followed by Jared Stanley's time of 28:40.75.  Skyler Cantrell and James Benik recorded times of 29:09.66 and 29:30.61, respectively.

Bryan Barbee, Brad Barbee, Ethan Murray and Blake Freeman rounded out the field.

The Lions collectively turned in a time of 2:25:57.60 with an average time of 29:11.52.
