Mars Hill places ninth at SAC Championships

The Mars Hill men's cross country team placed ninth overall at the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships held Saturday morning.

WINGATE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's cross country team placed ninth overall at the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships held Saturday morning.

Noah Allison was the top placing Lion, recording a time of 28:12.3 for a 43rd place finish.  Skylar Cantrell placed 46th with a time of 28:22.3.

Jared Stanley turned in a time of 28:30.6 for a 48th place finish while Bryan Barbee placed 57th overall, running a time of 29:04.4 on the day.  Finishing 64th overall was James Benik, who recorded a time of 29:51.7.

The Lions ran a total time of 2:24:02 with an average time of 28:49.
