Lions race in Queens Invite

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's cross country team ran in the Queens Invite Friday afternoon.

The Lions were led by freshman William Pooser, placing 51st with a time of 27:32.  Coming in second for the Lions was Matthew Tingle, finishing 69th with a time of 28:04.

Blake Freeman placed 119th with a time of 30:36 and Aaron Newlon finished 141st with a time of 32:01.

Closing it out for the Lions was Elijah Swain, placing 144th with a time of 32:14. Mars Hill placed 19th out of 25 teams.

Mars Hill returns to the course on Saturday, October 16 when they race in the Upstate Invitational.
