Lions announce weekend schedule updates

MARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill athletics has announced several updates for this weekend's slate of events.

The Mars Hill men's basketball team has had to postpone their road game versus Lincoln Memorial.  The original date to play was Saturday, January 15.

As a result of positive COVID-19 tests, the team will pause their season.

The team will follow the policies outlined within the SAC Return to Play Protocol for Basketball, which is available on theSAC.com.

The SAC will work together with the institutions to reschedule the games for later dates.

The Mars Hill women's basketball team will play Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, January 15, now with a 12 p.m. tipoff due to the threat of inclement weather.  Original tipoff time was set for 2 p.m.

The program has also announced their reschedule date to take on the Pioneers of Tusculum University.  The game will be played inside Stanford Arena on Monday, February 7 at 5:30 p.m.  The game was originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, January 12.

Due to the threat of inclement weather, the Mars Hill men's and women's swim teams have moved up their Saturday meet from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m.  The Senior Day meet will see the Lions host King and Lees-McRae and will be livestreamed.
