Women’s Golf Results from Border Battle

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. - Mars Hill's women's golf team lost a dual match against Milligan College Thursday afternoon in the Border Battle played at Elizabethton Golf Course. Victoria Barrett led Mars Hill with a score of 84.

Sarah Johnson followed Barrett with a 91 on the day while Lindsey Ball shot a 97 in the match. The team made solid improvement from their last match by significantly cutting their team score. Head Coach Ed Hoffmeyer stated, "Our young team showed great improvement in our second tournament. I am proud of the way they approached today's event against a very solid Milligan team. Victoria Barrett continues to impress with her solid play."

The Lions' women's golf team will return to action on September 24, when they compete in the Tusculum Fall Invite. The event will be played at Link Hill C.C. in Greeneville, Tenn.
