Lions Place Sixth at King College Invite

BRISTOL, Tenn.-- The Mars Hill women's golf team placed sixth at the King College Invitational, which concluded Tuesday.

The Lions shot a 164-over 372 in the two-round tournament. Jacqueline McCormick carded Mars Hill's best score with a 28-over 170. Mount Olive College won the team championship with a 72-over 640. Emelie Andersson of Mount Olive took home the individual championship with a nine-over 151.

Victoria Barrett (21st) and Tonya Gruel-Wright (25th) rounded out Mars Hill golfers who placed among the top 25 golfers at the event.

Mars Hill will compete in the Montreat Invitational from Oct. 19-21.
