Lions Place Seventh at Cherokee Valley Invitational

TIGERVILLE, S.C.-- The Mars Hill women's golf team placed seventh at the Cherokee Valley Invitational hosted by North Greenville University.

The Lions carded a score of 767 (+191) in the two-day, nine-team tournament. Jacqueline McCormick finished tied for 26th-place with Mars Hill's best score. North Greenville won the tournament with a score of 684 (108+). Mikayla Dodson of Trevecca Nazarene was the individual champion with a score of 158 (+14).

Victoria Barrett, Sarah Johnson, Tonya Gruel-Wright and Megan Reecer rounded out the Lions top five.

Mars Hill will compete in the Agnis McAmis Memorial, which will be held in Greeneville, Tenn. beginning Sunday, Apr. 7.
