Lions Place Second at SCSU Bulldog Invite

ORANGEBURG, S.C.-- The Mars Hill women's golf team placed second in the SCSU Bulldog Invite, held Wednesday at Hillcrest Golf Club.

The Lions totaled a score of 343 in the tournament. Jacqueline McCormick paced Mars Hill in carding a score of 78. South Carolina State won overall with a score of 315. Benedict College placed third with a score of 382. Tiana Jones of South Carolina State was the individual leader, shooting a 73.

Rounding out Mars Hill's top finishers were Sarah Johnson, Lindsey Ball, Victoria Barrett, Tonya Gruel-Wright and Megan Reecer.

Mars Hill will compete in the Agnis McAmis Memorial, which begins Sunday, Apr. 7 in Greeneville, Tenn.
