Lions in Seventh at Anderson Fall Invite

ANDERSON, S.C.-- Mars Hill's women's golf team is in seventh place after round one of the Anderson University Fall Invitational, which was played Monday at Cobb's Glen Country Club.
Lion golfers came in with a score of 338 on the day. Just three strokes separate the Lions from fifth place. Jacqueline McCormick carded Mars Hill's best score, shooting an 83. Erskine College leads overall with a score of 318. Rima Antous sits atop the individual leaderboard with an even-par 72.
Katherine Lail turned in Mars Hill's best nine-hole score, shooting a 40 on the front-nine. Victoria Barrett turned in an 84 for the Lions' second-best score. Jordie Sowell and Sarah Johnson rounded out MHU's top five.
Play wraps up tomorrow with round two at Cobb's Glen.
