Lions in 16th at Myrtle Beach

SUNSET BEACH, N.C.-- Mars Hill's women's golf team is in 16th place after the first round of the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, held Monday at Sea Trails Golf Club.

Lion golfers totaled a score of 343. Jacqueline McCormick notched Mars Hill's best score, carding an 84. Saint Leo is in first place with a score of 290. Marie Coors of Saint Leo sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 70.

Jordie Sowell, Victoria Barrett, Sarah Johnson and Lindsey Ball rounded out Mars Hill's top five. The Lions are sixth out of seven SAC schools competing in the tournament.
