The Mars Hill women’s golf team is in sixth place following first round action in the season-opening AU Invitational at Cobbs Glenn Country Club.

ANDERSON, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's golf team is in sixth place following first round action in the season-opening AU Invitational at Cobbs Glenn Country Club.

Freshman Emma Lundvall shot a team-low 80 in her first collegiate round and is in a tie for 12th place. Junior Sarah Johnson posted an 85. As a team, Mars Hill shot an opening round 345, with Milligan and Erskine tied for the top spot after an opening round 317. Erskine's Rachel Moore leads after a 2-over-par 74.

The tournament concludes tomorrow following a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
