Johnson Leads MHU in Opening Round of SAC Preview
Sarah Johnson shot a 78 in her first round of the 2015-16 season

MONROE, N.C.- The Mars Hill women's golf team is in ninth place following the opening round of the SAC Preview held at Monroe Country Club.
In her first round of the season, senior Sarah Johnson shot a six-over-par 78 and is tied for sixth place. Emma Lundvall shot an 86, followed by Victoria Barrett with an 87. Marie Syvertsen shot a 97, followed by Raven Brown with a 99.
UNC Pembroke's Savannah Thompson leads by three strokes with a one-under-par 71. Wingate leads the team standings with a 309.
The tournament concludes on Sunday.
