Women's Golf In Eighth After Day One of Cherokee Valley Invitational

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The Mars Hill women's golf team wrapped up day one of the Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational hosted by North Greenville University on Monday, March 28. After the opening round the Lions find themselves in eighth place overall, shooting a combined 353 (+65) on the par 72 course.
Emma Lundvall led the Blue and Gold on the afternoon, posting an 86 (+14), which was good enough for a tie for 22nd place. Teammate Victoria Barrett was not too far behind her, finishing the day with a +15, 87.
Raven Brown and Sarah Johnson posted scores of 89 and 91, respectively, for 31st and 36th place. Marie Syvertsen rounded out the Lions golfers in 45th place after an opening day 99 (+27).
The field will return to action tomorrow morning to conclude the two-day tournament. Lundvall will take to the course first with a 9:00 tee time.
