The Mars Hill Lions' women's golf team kicked off their season at the Bob Dibble Classic Monday afternoon.  Janie Gooch is tied for sixth.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill Lions' women's golf team kicked off their season at the Bob Dibble Classic Monday afternoon.  Janie Gooch is tied for sixth.

Gooch shot a first-round 78 and trails the leader, Tusculum's Ciara Rattana, by seven shots.  Emilee Wenmouth is in a three-way tie for tenth, sitting three shots behind Gooch.

The Lions are positioned fifth out of six teams and trailes Tusculum's B-Team by three strokes.

The Bob Dibble Classic will conclude on Tuesday, September 26.
