Lions close out Fall Slam in last place

The Mars Hill women's golf team finished the Flagler Fall Slam in 18th place Tuesday, October 24 in St. Augustine, Florida. Janie Gooch was the top Lions finisher.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Mars Hill women's golf team finished the Flagler Fall Slam in 18th place Tuesday, October 24 in St. Augustine, Florida. Janie Gooch was the top Lions finisher.

Gooch, who tied for 81st overall, shot a +23 over the two rounds. Marie Syvertsen dropped from 58th to 86th, shooting +26 over the two days.

Emilee Wenmouth, Jasmine Chesnut and Courtney Jo Simpkins rounded out the Lions golfers, finishing in 91st, 96th and 97th overall, respectively.

The Lions shot +142 during the Fall Slam.
