ROEBUCK, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's golf team sits in fifth place after round one of the Converse College Fall Invite Monday afternoon.

Emilee Wenmouth sits in 17th after shooting +13 in the opening round.  Janie Gooch is tied for 20th after shooting 15 over par.

Marie Syvertsen shot an opening round 90 while Jordan Martindale finished the day shooting 97 on the afternoon.  Ashley Holland rounded out the team with a 34th place finish heading into day two.

The Lions shot a combined 359 on Monday.
