Mars Hill places second at MHU Spring Invitational
The Mars Hill women's golf team placed third at the conclusion of Tuesday's Mars Hill University Spring Invitational.
LORIS, S.C. -The Mars Hill women's golf team placed third at the conclusion of Tuesday's Mars Hill University Spring Invitational.
Emilee Wenmoth was the top placing Lion, placing third after shooting a second round 87 Tuesday. Janie Gooch and Jasmine Chesnut tied for fourth place overall, shooting 174 combined over the two-day tournament.
Placing 10th overall, Marie Syvertsen shot a second round 88, six strokes better than Monday's first round while Linnea Karlsson knocked off 16 strokes from her first round, ending the day shooting 88 and placing 16th overall.
The Lions shot a combined 699 over two days while the University of Charleston rallied to claim the win, shooting 323 on the day and 679 overall.

Mars Hill returns to the links on Monday, March 4th when they participate in the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational held in Bluffton, South Carolina.
